So about global warming. . .
The American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES) is probably the most important climate & energy legislation we’ve seen in our time; although it needs to be stronger, it’s still a major step towards more clean energy, less carbon emissions and millions of green jobs.
If it passes, it’ll set us on the right track for the international climate talks in Copenhagen this December, which will determine our climate future on a global scale.
But there’s a problem: A group of legislators–with the backing of the dirty fuel lobby– are actively trying to weaken it. A weak bill now could mean no international Copenhagen agreement… which basically means we’re done for. (Not to alarm you, or anything
)
Bottom line, we need to make sure our voices are louder than those of the dirty fuel lobbyists.
Please call your Representatives TOMORROW to urge them to STRENGTHEN THIS BILL!
WHAT: National Call-in Day to our representatives
WHEN: Wednesday, May 6

This is a list of key members we most need to persuade. If one of these people is your Rep, your call is extra critical! If you live in another district, your call will build pressure in Congress for when the bill comes to a general vote.
