SeaLions Host Carlsbad Street Soccer Festival


SAN DIEGO, Calif
(June 3, 2009) – The San Diego SeaLions (WPSL) are co-hosting the Carlsbad Street Soccer Festival with Calle Republic and Velocity Sports this Saturday from 9:00AM to 12:00PM at Aviara Park in Carlsbad.

All soccer players, male and female, ages 7 to 13 are welcome. The festival will consist of multiple 7-minute, 4v4 games. The first session, from 9:00AM-10:00AM, will be boys and girls ages 7 to 10. The second session, from 10:30AM to 12:00PM will be boys and girls ages 10 to 13.

The festivities will include music, refreshments and giveaways. Each player who participates will receive a Calle wristband, a ticket to a SeaLion home game, a pass to Velocity Training and more! The cost is just $25 per player. To register, please go to www.velocitysp.com/carlsbad and click on the “events” tab.

After the festival, the SeaLions prepare for the third home game of their 2009 campaign against PSSCV Santa Clarita. Kick-off is set for 7:30PM at Cathedral Catholic High School in Del Mar.
